As of September, 2008, we have 148 children who call Jatson Chumig ~~~ home. There are also staff members; Accountant. Cooks, Shopkeeper, etc... We also have a group of very dedicated teachers and our house mothers, who live in the dormitories taking care of the children when not in school. We also employ over 65 people who work in the Jatson Chumig Handicraft Workshops and create authentic Tibetan goods. Most of our employees are physically handicapped and this employment opportunity teaches them job skills and continues the ancient art of Tibetan craft making. Jatson also provides the basic necessities of human life; such as food, shelter, and clothing, given by the school without asking a single penny in return.
