| Happy New Year, 2008
Happy Losar, 2135.
This New Year brings exciting changes for Jatson Chumig School and Orphanage.
We have expereinced wonderful growth in the past few months. This success has occurred because of the outpouring of love and generosity from many supporters around the world.
How do we thank you for believing in our mission and helping the children of Jatson Chumig? ... Simply by saying Thujiche'.
The children know of your love and support. They are aware of their new sponsors and are grateful and thankful. They are aware of the many donations which help improve their lives and they are happy to have received clothing, books and especially the ten electric heaters which now warm their dorm rooms at night. The children send their love and thanks!!!
This issue celebrates our accomplishments in the past year as well as our plans for the future as we begin to prepare for a New Year here in Tibet. Happy Losar everyone! Thujiche'

| Happiness ... |
 What is happiness, and can one actually achieve it? This is not a question to be answered here but we can tell you that the children of Jatson Chumig are most definitely, happier. Why? Because they know they have more love now than they did before. The children know that others ...you... care about them. Life is not easy, but having this knowledge, knowing that others care for them and are helping to bring some simple comforts into their lives, does in fact make life better. The outpouring of love, generosity and donations have given the children, the teachers, the house mothers and the handicraft workers an improved life in just a short time. Yet there is more to do. But before we look ahead into this New Year, lets reflect back to see how life has improved and why the children of Jatson Chumig are happier. |

 This New Year can not start without acknowledging the wonderful volunteers and benefactors of the year which just ended. Thank you everyone for your kindness and love. If you ever wonder, do the children ever "get it"? We can assure you, the answer is definitely, yes!!! Our future looks brighter than ever because our past is now glowing with success. People from around the world have responded to our requests and needs. From Australia, to the USA, to the Netherlands, Denmark, New Zealand and beyond ... the world is reaching out to make a difference for the children of Jatson Chumig. Although our benefactors have made PayPal donations, it is also especially moving to know that a number of schools have now incorporated Jatson Chumig into their curriculum in Community Service Projects and Works for Social Justice. These children have learned a lot!
